Ingredients:
- 1 (7oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni, (2 cups uncooked)
- 1 (1lb.) pkg. smoked sausage links (any variety), sliced and quartered
- 11/2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot
- 4 green onions with tops, sliced
- 6 cups chicken broth or beef broth, prepared
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper, course ground
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 to 3 drops hot sauce
Directions:
Prepare elbow macaroni according to package directions; drain.
In large kettle, cook smoked sausage, cabbage, carrot, and green onion until vegetables are tender.
Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in macaroni and heat through.
